Importing Files

You can import graphic files, svg files and vsdx files, and use them in your documents.

Importing Pictures From Graphic Files

Edraw supports importing pictures of the following file formats:

indows Bitmap

(*.bmp, )

JPEG File Interchange Format

(*.jpg)

Graphics Interchange Format

(*.gif)

Tagged Image File Format

(*.tif)

Portable Network Graphics

(*.png)

Icons

(*.ico)

Portable Bitmaps

(*.ppm)

If you need to import a graphic file,

  1. Simply go to Insert tab, and click Insert Picture from Flie in Illustrations group.

  1. The Open dialog pops up.
  2. Select the picture you want to insert, and then click Open.

Import Visio and SVG Files

Edraw supports to import Visio and SVG files and convert them into Edraw flies. Please be noted that the imported Visio or SVG file is not 100% compatible.

Import files

  1. On File menu, point to Import, and click Import VisioFile or Import SVG File.
  2. The Open dialog box will come up, select the file you want to open.
  3. Click Open.
