Create a COM Diagram

  1. On the File menu, point to New, point to Software, and then click Com and OLE.
  2. Drag a COM object shape onto the drawing page from COM and OLE.
  3. To change the style of the COM object shape, right-click the shape and choose COM Style.
  4. Name the COM object by selecting it, and then typing.
  5. Add interfaces to the COM object by dragging the control handle in the center of the shape.
  6. Name the interface by subselecting it and then typing.
  7. Note: All COM objects are created with one interface, IUnknown, by default.
