The Definition of a Good Concept Map
A good concept map is perfect as a study aid for visual learners, as it allows you to see how a variety of topics and processes are connected. There are some problems listed below you should pay attention to when you want to draw a good concept map.
First and foremost, each concept should appear only once. If the same concept appeared more than once, the relationship will make people confused. Second, try to form a uniform concept map. The map should not have parts that are not related to other parts of the map, on the contrary, the map should be coherent. Finally, use conceptual, not linguistic relations. Concept map presents conceptual relations between concepts. Linguistic relationships should be avoided. Conceptual relations between two concepts should be readable as a sentence, however, linguistic relations do not form meaningful sentences.

Brainstorm a list of important topic. Before you begin to draw your own concept map, think of al list of important topics which are related to the project or assignment. For example, when you want to draw a concept map about water, then you may list topics like tree, ocean, river, plants, trees, animals, people, etc.
Choose the most important words and the second most important words. Once you have brainstormed lots of concepts related to your project or assignment, pick out the concept that is most essential to all of the others - the one from which all of the others stem. This may be obvious, or it may require a little thought.
Link the most important and the second most important words from your list. Use arrows shape in Edraw software to link the words you have choosen. Do not forget to link the second most important words to the less important words.
Explain the relationships between the terms. Add lines to connect the terms, and explain the relationship between the terms in a word or two. Make sure that the conceptual relations between two concepts should be readable as a sentence otherwise it can not be called a good concept map.
