Working with Documents. To create a new Edraw document you can do one of the following: rulers and grid, snapping and gluing, document settings, creating a new document, saving a document, about auto save.
a New Document
To create a new
Edraw document you can do one of the followings:
from the File

A blank new document
will open in a separate window.
To save an active

When you first time
save the document, you can choose its name and
location in the
Save As dialog.
If you have saved this document already, the
modified document will be saved under its existing

document under some other name, choose the

File menu. Specify the new name and location
in the Save As
dialog. The active document will get a new
name and will be stored in the specified location.
Save a File to Another Format
To use Edraw together with other programs, you can
export Edraw documents to various formats.
Very often it's needed to view or print a document on
different computers and platforms. In this case, you can export your document to
the PDF format.
By publishing your documents on the Web you can easily
share it with many people.
To make a presentation, you may want to use slider show.
To insert your drawing into other documents (for
instance, Word), you need to transform it into a file of some graphic format.
Edraw is well equipped for these tasks.
Click the Edraw Main Button, and point to
Save As... item.
Then choose the format type such as PDF, HTML, Graphic
Formats, TIF or others.
Edraw will save your documents opened
automatically. If something unexpected happened and Edraw is shutdown, once you start Edraw again,
the auto save files will be listed in the
File Recover pane docking at the right of the
page. You can recover the documents you edited just now.
- Click the down arrow beside the file.
- You can:
- Click Open to save the file to the folder you want and open it.
- Click Delete to delete the temporary file.
