Pre-drawn fault tree symbols represent AND gate, OR gate, inhibit gate, priority AND gate, exclusive OR gate, combination, basic event, etc. These symbols help create accurate diagrams and documentation.

Fault tree analysis templates provide you lots of special shapes, AND gate, OR gate, Inhibit gate, priority gate, exclusive OR gate, combination, intermediate event, basic event, undeveloped event, etc. These shapes are very useful when diagramming your own fault tree analysis. Easily learn How to Create a Fault Tree through detailed guide and vivid illustrations.

AND gate

AND gate is a basic digital logic gate that implements logical conjunction - it behaves according to the truth table to the right. In an AND gate, the output event occurs if all input events occur. That is to say, if both input events must occur in order for the output event to occur, then they are connected by an AND gate.

OR gate

OR gate is a digital logic gate that implements logical disjunction - it behaves according to the truth table to the right. In an OR gate, the output event occurs if at least one of the input events occurs. In other words, if the occurrence of either input event causes the output event to occur, then these input events are connected using an OR gate.

Inhibit gate

Inhibit gate means it produces a certain or fixed output whatever be the inputs or even the inputs are changed.

Priority AND gate

Priority AND gate - the output occurs if the inputs occur in a specific sequence specified by a conditioning event.

Exclusive OR gate

Exclusive OR gate - the output occurs if exactly one input occurs. If more than one input event occurs then the output event does not occur. For example, if there are two input events then the Exclusive OR gate indicates that the output event occurs if only one of the input events occurs but not if zero or both of these events occur.

Basic event

Basic event (or failure event) signals the failure or error in a system component or element.

External event - normally expected to occur.

Undeveloped event

Undeveloped event - an event about which insufficient information is available, or which is of no consequence.

Conditional event

Conditional event is represented by an ellipse and specifies a condition that restrict or affect logic gates.
