Working with P&IDs & PFDs Component Data
In the Edraw Process Engineering software, you can add data directly to components in the pid diagram - without calling up a separate database or spreadsheet program.
Each component in a diagram has a related datasheet, an
electronic form that contains fields of data for the component. For example, the
datasheet for an equipment generally specifies the description, material, and
manufacturer and model.

Storing component data in Process Engineering datasheets makes creating lists of
equipment, valves, instruments, and pipelines easy.
Enter Data for a PID Equipment Symbol
Create a Process and Instrumentation diagram type.
Select the packing column shape on the Equipment template
and drag it onto the page.
Right click the symbol and click the Shape Data menu item.
The Data panel will show on the right of the main window.
