Prioritization Matrix Example

A prioritization matrix  is employed when one needs to evaluate various alternatives with the intention of ranking them according to some set of predetermined criteria. Not every project is worth your time and effort. When completing a project, managers and their teams must work around many obstacles in order to deliver the promised results. Projects should be prioritized based on their potential to have the greatest impact on the organization and the greatest likelihood of being successfully implemented to avoid wasting valuable time and resources. The prioritization matrix is an alternative method of time management that can be used when the traditional todo list is insufficient.
