About the Samples

Edraw provide a set of samples to help you drawing quickly, and the samples subsystem can help you keeping and managing own good drawings.

All the samples listed in the Sample pane, you can edit, add, delete and arrange the samples, catalogue and sample library.

Open a sample

  1. Click Sample tab at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the style pane, if the style pane has been opened.

    If not opened, on View menu, click Sample Window, or click Sample Window on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

  2. Click the Sample Library and Catalogue to find the sample you want to open.

  3. Double click the sample and the sample will be opened.

Edit a sample

  1. Open the sample you want edit. Read also Open a sample.

  2. Edit the sample in the page.

  3. Click Save .

Add a new sample

  1. Click Sample tab at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the style pane, if the style pane has been opened.

    If not opened, on View menu, click Sample Window, or click Sample Window on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

  2. Click the Sample Library and Catalogue where you want to add a new sample to.

  3. Click New Drawing on the top toolbar of the Sample pane and a new sample file will be created in current catalogue.

  4. Click the new sample file to select it, you can do:

    • Type the new sample's name.

    • Double click the sample file to open it and edit the sample.

Add your own drawing to sample library

  1. Edit your own drawing.

  2. Click Save As on the File menu, then the Save As dialog box will come up.

  3. In the Save As dialog box, find the smaples folder in the Edraw setting up direction. And then find the sample library and catalogue folder.

  4. Click Save.

Delete a sample

  1. Click Sample tab at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the style pane, if the style pane has been opened.

    If not opened, on View menu, click Sample Window, or click Sample Window on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

  2. Click the Sample Library and Catalogue to find the sample you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete on the top toolbar of the Sample pane.

Add a new sample library

  1. Click Sample tab at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the style pane, if the style pane has been opened.

    If not opened, on View menu, click Sample Window, or click Sample Window on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

  2. Click the New Library on the top toolbar of the Sample pane.

  3. Type the new sample library's name.

Delete a sample library

  1. Click Sample tab at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the style pane, if the style pane has been opened.

    If not opened, on View menu, click Sample Window, or click Sample Window on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

  2. Click the Sample Library you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete on the top toolbar of the Sample pane.

    Note All the Catalogues and Samples in the sample library will be removed.

Add a new catalogue

  1. Click Sample tab at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the style pane, if the style pane has been opened.

    If not opened, on View menu, click Sample Window, or click Sample Window on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

  2. Click the Sample Library which you want to add a new catalogue to.

  3. Click New Catalogue to add a new catalogue.

  4. Type the new catalogue's name.

Delete a catalogue

  1. Click Sample tab at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the style pane, if the style pane has been opened.

    If not opened, on View menu, click Sample Window, or click Sample Window on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

  2. Click the Catalogue you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete on the top toolbar of the Sample pane.

    Note All the Samples in the catalogue will be removed.

Rename a sample, catalogue or sample library

  1. Click Sample tab at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the style pane, if the style pane has been opened.

    If not opened, on View menu, click Sample Window, or click Sample Window on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

  2. Click the Sample Library, Catalogue or Sample you want to rename.

  3. Click Edit on the top toolbar of the Sample pane to change the name of the select library, catalogue or sample.
