About
style
In Edraw shape formatting is also called shape
style, shape style include follow setting:
-
Line fill,
pattern, cap, weight, color, and transparency.
-
Fill color,
pattern, and transparency.
-
Shadow fill,
color, pattern, and transparency.
Note
Style does
not include Text
formatting.
Style is the best way to format shapes, just one
click, a couple of new format settings will be
applied on the shapes selected. You can modify the
style to change the shapes' formatting or the
default formatting, also can create your own styles
or keeping the style you like permanently. Styles
are listed in two tables:

Style in use
The list of the different styles used in
the page including the default style for the new
shapes.

Predefined
Style Edraw provide many beautiful and
applied styles, which help you formatting shapes
quickly. Also you can modify the predefined
style or create own style.
Notes
One
style may be used by more than one shapes, a style
will be deleted automatically if no shape use it.
One shape may
used more than one styles.
Some shapes in
library have default styles applied, when you drag
them to the page, the styles will be add to
Style in use,
you can modify them.
About
default style
In Edraw, for a page there is a set of shape
formatting that will be applied to the shapes
supporting default style when they are added to the
page. The most shapes in library or drew by one of
the following drawing or text tools support default
style:

Text
tool

Text Block

-
Rectangle

Ellipse

Line

Arc

Sector

Apply
a style to shape
-
Select a shape or
multiple shapes you want to apply a new style.

Click
Style tab
at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the
style pane, if the style pane has been opened.
If not, on
View menu, click
Style Window, or click
Style Window
on standard toolbar to open the style pane.
-
Click
Style tag
on the style pane to switch to the
Style
table.
-
Do one of following:
-
Point to the style you
want apply.
-
Do one following:
Edit a style
-
Click
Style tab
at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the
style pane, if the style pane has been opened.
If not, on
View menu, click
Style Window, or click
Style Window
on standard toolbar to open the style pane.
-
Click
Style tag
on the style pane to switch to the
Style
table.
-
Do one of following:
-
Point to the style you
want edit.
-
Click the down arrow next the style bar, on the pop
menu, click Edit
the Style.
-
In the
Formatting
shapes window, select the options you
want.
-
Click OK.
Notes
Once the style in use is changed, the
shapes which the style applied to will be formatted.
Once the predefined style is changed, it will never
be recovered.
Change the page default style
-
Click
Style tab
at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the
style pane, if the style pane has been opened.
If not, on
View menu, click
Style Window, or click
Style Window
on standard toolbar to open the style pane.
-
Click
Style tag
on the style pane to switch to the
Style
table.
-
Click
Show style and select
Styles in use.
-
Point to the first style
in the style list.
-
Click the down arrow next the style bar, on the pop
menu, click Edit
the Style.
-
In the
Formatting
shapes window, select the options you
want.
-
Click OK.
Note Once
the default style is changed, the new default style
will be applied to all the new shapes you drag from
library or draw with drawing tool.

style pane, if the style pane has been opened.
If not, on
View menu, click
Style Window, or click
Style Window
on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

on the style pane to switch to the
Style
table.

Do one of following:

Point to the style you
want.
-
Click the down arrow next the style bar, on the pop
menu, click Set As
the Page Default Style.
Create
a new style
-
Click
Style tab
at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the
style pane, if the style pane has been opened.
If not, on
View menu, click
Style Window, or click
Style Window
on standard toolbar to open the style pane.
-
Click
Style tag
on the style pane to switch to the
Style
table.
-
Do one of following:
-
Click Show style and select
Styles in use
to create a style applied to the shapes
in drawing.
-
Click
Show style and select
Predefined Styles to
create a style, which will be kept permanently.
-
Click
Create new
style
.
-
In
Formatting
shapes window, select the options you
want.
-
Click OK.
Select
all the shapes with the style
-
Click
Style tab
at the bottom of the left docking pane to show the
style pane, if the style pane has been opened.
If not, on
View menu, click
Style Window, or click
Style Window
on standard toolbar to open the style pane.

Click
Style tag
on the style pane to switch to the
Style
table.

Do one of following:

Point to the style you
want.

Click the down arrow next the style bar, on the pop
menu, click Select
All the Shapes with the Style.
